Our favorite campground in Connecticut. Well staffed, everyone professional and friendly. Campground moderately to heavily wooded and hilly. Power, water pressure, electricity and Wi-Fi all fine. I wasn't happy with this year's rate increase but I won't let that affect my review rating. Campground is loaded with amenities, just too much to mention. I really wish this campground would reconsider changing it's pet policy and allow pet walking through the campground, as most resort campgrounds in the northeast do. Though I appreciate the effort with the new dog park, park itself needs to be finished or cleaned out of tree stumps and rocks so pets can exercise freely. Regardless of the pet issues, I would certainly return or recommend this campground to anyone.

Lots of sun at this campground, no trees but that's the geography of the area. Showers and bathrooms were kept clean. The staff was professional and friendly. We had no problems with water pressure or electricity. The cement pads and sites were decent. Wi-Fi signal was very slow at our sight. Office/store hours: open late. Well kept indoor and outdoor pools, plus a nice lounge area!

Moderately to heavily wooded campground with lots of wooded space between campsites, though sites them self's average in size. No problems with electricity or water pressure but had to run extension cord because power box not located near sewer and water connections. Nice camp store. Staff professional and friendly. All kinds of campers from tenters to mega class A's and everyone was well behaved which is a good reflection of the campgrounds. Zero tolerance alcohol policy. Very cool state run water park within walling distance of the campground. Bathrooms needed to be cleaned more frequently.

Very professional and friendly staff. This has got to be one of the most well run campground I've ever been to. Clean well thought out bathrooms. All the sites that I noticed had cement pads. Water pressure and electricity fine at our site and sites that I noticed were average in size. Campground lightly wooded with decent shade. Very nicely landscaped campground. Spotless laundry room with A/C and TV. Campground has small dog park. Wi-Fi worked good at our site.

We absolutely loved this well organized campground. Just to many amenities to mention. Most of the campsites that I saw (including ours) were average in size and looked well graded. Campground runs 80 to 100 # water pressure so make sure you have a inlet water reducing valve on your camper. As mentioned on previous reviews campground is super staffed. Absolutely huge dog park with lots of pet amenities. Campground has over 1000 sites and considering the amount of dogs we saw I was pleasantly surprised to see no unpicked up dog poop... Campground IMO seems to attract a lot of responsible pet owners. Wi-Fi was just OK at our site and our cell phone worked great. The only disappointment we found was the hot food served there was not very good.

Our second visit to this campground. Most of the campsites were large and wooded. Above average amenities. Well graded roads. Nice pool area, huge campground store. Knowledgeable staff. Just a top notch camping resort

This is a basic campground. Campground offers fishing on the Natchaug River, hiking and tubing on the river in the warmer weather. Found staff helpful and friendly, seasonals friendly also. Most of the seasonal sites (though not all) were well maintained. Campground needs a camp store but Super Wal-Mart 10 minutes away. Overall I would recommend this campground.

In my opinion one of the best resort style campgrounds that CT has to offer. Some of the amenities that stand out are the heated pool with hot tub, beach side grill and professionally done mini golf. Wi-fi worked great. Staff older, friendly, and experienced. You are escorted right to your site. The only two draw backs I can say about this campground is the highway noise on the entrance side of the campground; and you have to keep your pets at your campsite.

Pretty country style campground that is well maintained. Transit sites seem easily accessible. Campground offers hiking, fishing and a short drive to Jay Peak. Seasonal sites seemed well maintained. Bathrooms kept very clean. Owners friendly and will go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Nice office/pavilion and shuffle board. Campground has small pool and playground. Grocery stores are a short drive away. I thought the campground rates were a good value.

Decently run campground, staff experienced and helpful. Campground has a mix of wooded and open sites. Enjoyed the overall appearance of the campground. Noticed all the seasonal sites/campers were well maintained and the seasonals were the friendliest people I've ever encountered. Our campsite # B28 was a major disappointment. Our gray water and electric was located on the wrong side of the site. No small wonder why, two huge trees they would have to cut down to fix the situation. So I had to pull in forward and back out when I left with very little clearance between these trees and because of this we were in plane site of our camping neighbors which left us no privacy. Still though we enjoyed this campground.

This is a great campground for the beach or fishing. One small disappointment was that we were expecting to be able to boogie board at the beach but life guards wouldn't allow it. We had to walk about five minutes to get off the state beach property to go boogie boarding. Found staff friendly and seemed to be experienced. There was not much going on in the Salisbury area as for things to do, but it was a short drive to NH and ME attractions. It was very pet friendly with lots of dog stations through out the campground. Campground store was decently stocked, but everything in the store was way over priced. I had checked off that the bathrooms and showers were clean, but to be honest I've seen better. Also had our cooler stolen the first night we were there, which I found later.

Gorgeous campground with lots of character. Our campsite and the ones that we saw were large and mostly wooded. Roads were well graveled with no potholes. The bathrooms were spotless and the campground has above average amenities. Even though it was May we though the campground store closed a little to early for the weekend. We would certainly return to Danforth Bay if we have the chance.

Pretty little campground thats nicely landscaped, bordered between hills, farmland with a river running next to the campground. We found the staff helpful and friendly. Sites were a little on the small side. Decently stocked campground store. Good place to spend the weekend or nice stop over before heading to your next destination.

Well maintained/organized campground thats loaded with amenities. Staff friendly and helpful. Most campground sites were a one to two minute walk to the beach. Huge/well stocked campground store. RV sites seem to be above average in size. Campground great for pets. Some of the things we had a problem with was the first night we were there we had our cooler broken into along with the campsite next to us. The hot water kept running out in the two bathhouses closes to us and the teenagers driving the golf carts were out of control, especially at night.

We found the campground very commercial like. Main parking lot inside campground not centralized to campground store/rec hall/food court/pool area which made doing things very inconvenient. Most of the privately owned park models were well landscaped and maintained but most of the transit sites that we saw were plain dirt with no grass and very unappealing. Our site was also very dusty with no grass at all. We found the staff friendly. Plenty of activities for the family. Rest rooms and showers were clean. We were disappointed in the pet play area that you had to drive to. It was just to small for our dog to get any real exercise, and you could not walk your dog anywhere at the campground.

Huge campground resort with activities for the the kids. Great pool area with four hot tubs. Campground restaurant has lobster and seafood specials. This is our second visit to Bayley's and they just opened a new entrance road that has access to most of the campground along with the new big rig section in back of the campground. Still very busy around the pool area. I wouldn't camp here if your looking for quiet nature. Lots and lots of kids. Bathrooms were clean. Even though they say they sprayed for bugs its still very buggy around the pond areas.

This was our second visit to this campground. Our first was in 2000. This place has everything. You could easily spend a week here and not be bored. But if you choose to leave the campground within 15 minutes drive there's amusement and water parks, white river rafting just about everything under the sun in the area. The only problem we see with this campground is it's gotten to big for the two pools it has. They need to expand on their pool Area.

Great family campground. Large heated pool with hot tub. Campground store stocked with basics. One thing we noticed was the bathrooms were not very clean. They need to be cleaned more frequently.

Close to Niagara Falls. About ten minute ride. This is a basic home base type campground. We found the campground clean. They have a great pet area in back. Sites are narrow but long. Good overall shade in campground.

Gorgeous state campground to top of hill. Large wooded sites. Great trails for hiking and ponds for fishing. If your looking for a relaxing camping trip with quiet nature all around you then this is the place. Campground has a well laid out dump and water fill station, small campground store. At the entrance of the campground which is at the bottom of the hill is a large pool with a water slide and jumping board. Also they serve hot food at the pool area. Local sheriff makes routine patrols thru campground.

The web site for this campground call its self a resort campground. I've never been to a resort campground that doesn't have a fixed dump station. When I inquired about the dump station when I was making reservations I didn't get a straight answer. The bathrooms were clean but poorly laid out. The shower stalls had no hooks and there was no separate changing stalls. Only a community bench in the middle of the bathroom. Campground fire wood that they delivered to our site was not cut into small enough pieces and so green that it wouldn't burn at all. The lake was average. The beach was nice. We found everybody very friendly. I asked them to cut a stump down so I could get my trailer out and they did.
